Istituto Comprensivo Statale "G. Giardino" (Italy)
Istituto Comprensivo "G. Giardino" serves the Municipality of Mussolente, about 8,000 inhabitants, divided into the chief town and the village of Casoni. The geographical area of the municipal territory develops on the eastern border of the province of Vicenza with the province of Treviso, in Veneto (North-East of Italy).
The Institute is composed of two primary and one junior high school: the three schools are located within an area of two kilometers with a total number of 750 students.
The junior high school is highly equipped from a technological point of view: IWBs
(interactive whiteboard) in each classroom, computer labs, wifi with full coverage.
Primary schools have a good supply of IWBs, laboratories and wifi with full coverage.
Teachers of the IC Mussolente carry out multiple training actions such as: open classes, cooperative learning, learning by doing, peer tutoring, CLIL, Spaced Learning, Webquest, Active breaks.
After several successful participations in the Comenius Projects over the years, we have joined our first Erasmus+ Project, having introduced STEAM practices two years ago in some classes.
